The association was founded in The Netherlands, in 1986.
Nowadays, EESTEC is present in 28 countries and 53 universities across Europe with over 4000 members of whom 3000 are currently active, and indirectly, EESTEC is addressing all students in the faculties that EESTEC exists.
Mission is to spread and strengthen a network of students across Europe and develop an international collaborative environment, where the expansion of academic knowledge and development of soft skills is encouraged.
A workshop is an educational type of the event, during which participants are having academic lectures about electrical engineering and computer science, company and factory routes or practice in laboratories.
Besides workshops, Local Commitments are organising cultural exchanges and operational events so they can represent their tradition and culture and on the other hand, participants can learn a lot about them, their nation, language, university etc.
Vision of EESTEC is to unite all electrical engineering and computer science students across Europe to empower them to reach their full potential in their academic, professional and social lives.
